Arian LEKA
BIOGRAPHY
Arian Leka (b. 1966) is a leading contemporary writer from
the port city of Durrës. He is editor-in-chief of the well-received
poetry periodical Poeteka: revistë e poezisë dhe
e kulturës poetike (Poeteka: Review of Poetry and Poetic
Culture).
Among Leka's publications are the short story collections
Ky vend i qetë ku s'ndodh asgjë, Tirana 1994
(This Quiet Country Where Nothing Ever Happens); Veset e të
vdekurve, Tirana 1997 (The Sins of the Dead); the novel Gjarpri
i shtëpisë, Tirana 2002 (The House Snake); and
the verse collections Anija e gjumit, Tirana 2000 (The
Ship of Sleep); and Strabizëm, Tirana 2004 (Strabismus). |
